Sunday, May 2, 2010 - The strangest Carlisle I've had. Deep purple color, nice spicy/blackfruit/lavender/aniseon the nose. Smooth creamy texture but the palate had this odd citrus/saline character that were new to me with Carlisle. Definitely not corked or flawed or Bretty. Not that bad a wine, just different from my previous experience with this particular bottling.
