90 Points

Sunday, October 19, 2008 - My first American Pinot Noir, I have been saving it for a few years just to see how it pulls up after some bottle age: Chocolate, bark (wood not woof), cherries, mould and earth are all on the nose. Savoury cherries dominate the palate with damsons and fruit jammy overtones coming through and with some grippy tannins that imply oak rather than stalk. Long finish. It really is very nice. Mrs C say it reminds her of Autumn (fall for our American friends) and I know exactly what she means.
