Monday, February 6, 2012 - A great bottle of this wine which can be quite variable from bottle to bottle. Quite structured at first but then dark violet fruits emerge as the tannins melt away and ultimately the wine is rich and velvety with a good backbone of acidity. The finish is full of complex slate and mineral notes with a wonderful silky texture. Delicious but needed several hours to really show itself.
