The wine tonight was very similar to a tasting of the wine 14 months ago, wherein I indicated: “Purple at the rim; a deep dark garnet color. Wonderful aromas and flavors of blackberry, soft black currant, earthiness, leather, raw beef, tar, iron, violets, spice. Rich, powerful, smooth and balanced. A long, long finish of some 45 - 50 seconds.” Nothing has changed, except it seemed a little more open this time.
