Similarly, a blast on the palate of succulent red and black plum, strawberry, tobacco, earth, leather, and tart dried cherry. Somehow joyously hedonistic and superbly delineated at the same time, perhaps due to persistently bright acidity and firm but sweet tannin. Waves of red fruit grounded in earth and exquisite sweet grip on the long finish. Glad to have caught this wine in its extroverted adolescence. Just the thing with sliced Tuscan steak over arugula with Parmesan bits.
