Friday, July 24, 2015 - The nose is quite savory, with notes of green pepper, herbs and smoky bacon, while the palate is fairly elegant, with some pleasant dark fruits integrating with the more savory elements; Not the most complex Wind Gap I've had, but quite tasty

7/26/2015 8:35:00 AM - Appreciate the note here. Very few of these still around and in coincidence, I was looking at my bottle y/day wondering when I wanted to open it. With your comment about complexity, do you see any wisdom in aging this vintage any longer?

7/26/2015 3:33:00 PM - Frank - This is my first time trying this vintage, and my guess is that it's reached a plateau in its evolution and complexity, although I don't think it will necessarily go down hill right away either; If you only have one bottle left, I would recommend drinking it in the relatively near-term; If you have multiple, it would be interesting to see where it is in a few more years; Also note that I did not decant, so it's possible that would have changed my perspective

7/27/2015 8:26:00 AM - Thanks for the advice. Just the one left and have been holding it sentimentally for being the first release of Wind Gap. I thought one day sometime we would do a Wind Gap dinner here and so that's the place I saw the bottle. Guess I will hold until that time (if we ever do it).
