Friday, August 12, 2016 - Reddish/garnet in color, dull sheen. Nice expressive aromas of cherries and darker berries, with some smokiness and earthiness. Develops some nice floral perfumes.
Flavours show a nice elegant intensity. Medium weight wine, good acidity, medium to long finish. Very smooth and round, a bit of creaminess on the mid palate. Nice berry flavours and cherries on initial attack, drying silky tannins kick in with some black tea, spice and minerality on the finish. A really polished and balanced wine.
