Tuesday, December 25, 2012 - The peanut oil comment is right on. What ever you do, don't think of peanut oil when you taste this...it will ruin the wine. Don't think of it. I had lots of notes before reading that and, now, I can't think of any...just peanut oil. Truly, though, this is fun to drink, although a little hard to figure out. It has some burnt notes, perhaps overly browned butter with a bitter edge that lasts on the back of the palate. VERY dry and saline at mid with some burnt veggie at mid. Even so, interesting.
