90 Points

Wednesday, December 16, 2009 - Fascinating aromas of raspberry, black cherry, leather, sage, barnyard, burnt firewood. A floral note that develops on the nose after decanting takes the aromas into what can only be described as hauntingly elusive. The palate is much more rustic with more earth, tea leaf, and tar with a bitter raspberry finish. medium-light bodied but plenty of tannin and acidity that will round out over time. I have one more that should be ready in a couple of years. Can't wait.
