Monday, June 4, 2012 - Beautiful dark ruby color on this wine. Initally smelled of cherry and some wood. With some air the oak impression disappears. Smells of raspberry, cherry and a whiff of blueberries. No brett in this wine that I can smell. First taste is the same as it smells with all the berries, but there is some underlying subtle garrigue and iodine. Some astringent tannins on the finish that is fairly long. I think this wine will develop some additional complexity with a bit more bottle age. This wine is good, but seems pricey for what it is.
