Friday, June 12, 2009 - Another great example of California cab. Dark red, very little brick on the rim. Forward nose of ripe cherry and plum with leather added for complexity. The palate is smooth, ripe tannins underpinning the fruit, good acidity. Moderately long finish. Hard to believe this wine is 18 years old. Match well to a flank steak but drank well on its own as well.
