Thursday, June 25, 2015 - As we know, 87 was not a great year in Burgundy. However, I was hoping that the vineyard in this case would override the weather and in this case, I had a very good bottle. For an almost 30 year old bottle, this performed very admirably. A nice fruit bouquet came out of the glass, the wine texture was just fantastic, smooth and still some lingering hints of the lush fruit. Moving to dried cherries a nice backbone. Persistence was good as well. This bottle exceeded its humble presentation.
