Monday, September 3, 2012 - Tested this one in my eternal search for upper-end CdR's that still carry a reasonable price tag. In the glass a very transparent colour, very beautiful almost Burgundian. On the nose rather tight in the beginning (not decanted). After a while opening up a bit with herbs, liquorish an some pepper. A hint of forest leaves in decay too. On the palate the nose impressions came through directly, although with the liquorish dominating quite a bit. Firm tannins made this a very good and allround food wine. And it will certainly have some years of celler life left in it. For sure a very well made wine, and quite refined for a CdR.
