Wednesday, February 6, 2013 - Esther's Birthday Dinner (Luke's Oyster Bar, Gemmil Road, Singapore): I thought this was a nice NV. It had a lovely nose, very gently complex, with notes of earth, yeast and buttery cream floating around a core of white fruit, white meat aromas and a touch of minerality at the sides. The palate was yummy too. Built in an elegant, polished style, this showed gently citrus notes of lemon and green apple along with fleshier white fruit on the midpalate, all this scored by a little underline of mineral and streams of fine, very persistent mousse. This bottle seemed to have some age on it - it was round, pleasing and nicely balanced, yet with a nice understated reserve to it. Yummy.
