Wednesday, September 12, 2012 - Popped and poured. Dark ruby. Nose of iron and soil with black raspberry and plum notes. Muscular structure of mineral and licorice laced with sleek black fruit and star anise. Potent acidity and stern tannins, but the fruit is ample and almost juicy on the long, ringing finish. Always a favorite, this wine will age for quite some years yet.
