Saturday, March 20, 2010 - Opened and poured, this wine showed well. The aromatics show red and black cherry, stone, minerals, spice and floral notes. The color is a medium to dark ruby the is youthful and vibrant. The medium bodied palate shows balance and length. The wine finishes with tannins making an appearance. The palate shows an underlying stone characteristic that gives a structured impression to the wine. This should benefit from a few years of bottle age to soften the structured stone notes and bring out additional complexity and nuance.
