2007 Rhys Pinot Noir Alpine Vineyard

Community Tasting Note

90 Points

Sunday, October 30, 2011 - 2 bottles each drunk over 2 days. The 2d day for each bottle revealed the potential of the wine. Good nose on the second day. The lack of fruit richness absent the first day was exhibited on the second. This is a medium bodied wine, ruby color, with promise. However, relative to old vine wines, it is obvious that the vines are young (much promise) which means flavor complexity will be a question until the years pass. Average but adequate (for me) finish.
