2007 Rhys Pinot Noir Alpine Vineyard

Community Tasting Note

Sunday, January 1, 2012 - Dark, opaque purple. Big, smoky nose with spice and a hint of green pepper. Mouth-filling on the palate, with some nice tannic grip. Still pretty green, as others have noted, but earthy with some mineraliness. Bright spice, but not too acidic. Some cranberry and cherry notes. Enjoyed this very much, but will keep away from the second bottle for a few more years.
