Thursday, November 1, 2012 - I'm told this wine needs air and so it was double decanted a few hours prior to service. You really have to appreciate wine in the more reserved style to be a fan of Rhys, but this has a quite lovely nose of ginger, incense, spicebox. With time more fruit came forward in the form of dark cherries. This is quite a structured wine that shows plenty of promise for long term development. Palate has lots of acid and tannin, do not touch for a few years.
