2007 Rhys Pinot Noir Alpine Vineyard

Community Tasting Note

Tuesday, February 11, 2014 - Nose: Chalky cool red and black fruit, cream, some slight earth and spice. Day 2: Darker florals, green musk and lots of spice notes.

Taste: Med intensity red fruits, spice, med + acids, ripe tannins, med finish.

Overall: Not a whole lot of development in a few years. Not in the greatest spot, kind of disjointed with sharp edges. Showing a lot more stem/ austerity on day 2 than expected. Seemed to tighten up with 24 hrs air so thinking 3-4 yrs from now might be the next time I'd want to check in on this. Time will tell how this turns out.
