Tuesday, June 9, 2009 - Trip to Burgundy; 6/7/2009-6/10/2009 (The Cote d'Or): A little step up from the Bourgogne. Cut flowers, dusky cherries and spice on the nose. Good sappy red fruit on the palate. Lots of charm here, with a nice freshness and plenty of structure to boot. Good clean finish showed some dried wood spice and orange peel. A nice village.
