Friday, July 3, 2015 - Disappointing. Maybe it's an off-bottle (not corked, though), or a weak vintage, but I expected much more from a Beaucastel. Medium garnet, minimal translucency. Not much aroma at all, and what there is doesn't have much character. Medium body, mostly black fruits, but tannin and acid too prominent for the fruit. One-dimensional. Fairly short aftertaste. I have several more bottles, hopefully better than this one.
