Sunday, February 14, 2016 - Slow ox'ed for 4 hours but wine needed some more time in the open bottle to show its best. Dark garnet almost to the rim. Initially plenty of dark berries, sous bois and a slight mustiness on the nose. Later the wine started to show spices and some secondary notes. On the mid palate a touch thin but still very good / enjoyable. Fine but sandy tannins. Finish rather short. Worked very well with steak and great QPR and great 1999. 90-91
