Wednesday, April 29, 2015 - Wow. most extraordinary for Languedoc-Roussillon . I have had one better before, but that was a tiny production. pic st loup, I got in France. The nose is nice, and fairly typical (lots of tar) , but the palate is amazing. Nice complexity (see notes for flavors, though I get lots of black cherry) , finesse in the balance, softened tannin, and surprise, medium body and alchohol. Nice lingering finish. So glad I waited 2 years to try this . So bizarre, the import label says burgundy wine(wtf?)
