Tuesday, October 4, 2011 - Dark ruby color. Brambly berries, pepper, vanilla, black cherries, licorice, a touch of earthiness and a nice floral note on the very open and inviting nose. Full body with ripe tannins and nice acidity. Loaded with rich and peppery berries on the palate. Ripe but not syrupy. Very Carlisle like. Nice length on the finish. Seems to have improved from last bottle, close to a year ago. Drinking very nicely.
