Monday, April 29, 2013 - Slight golden/green metallic color....first smell seemed a little ox AND corkiness?? Fu@$#$! But hold on there cowboy.....after a few sips and some air....the ox is no more than some ripe baked apple, hazelnut and honey....the corkiness has become a wonderful smoked flint, chalky minerals, little hops-like funkiness? What is striking is the piercing lime citrus acidity giving the somewhat ripe fruit a good cut! Great florals, chalk, minerals, and some aged honey. I like the funky complexities...but I can see some calling for Mr. Corkiox. Great 07 acidity....but I probably wouldn't risk cellaring this any longer.
