Wednesday, October 5, 2016 - FM III from 12/2015, captures the notes on this better than I ever might. I would humbly add this - this wine has settled down in a remarkable way. Very aromatic. On the palate, some might say this has lost its backbone. For my tastes, this wine is largely resolved. Plush, smooth. At peak, or maybe just past it. Either way, while I really like this, I don't see this getting better. I guess I've got a few of these left....planning to drink the others soon.

10/6/2016 4:04:00 PM - Thanks for the shout out and the note. I still have a couple 750s left, and also a big-boy 3L. So, seeing notes come through helps me think about the 'when'. I'm gonna do another 750 and see what I find, as we're getting close to a year since the last one. But man, maybe just past peak? I need one of those imogee things of the guy passing out and falling over! Don't say that!

    Cheers,
    Jim

The wine was bigger boned in its youth so if it is settling into something more evolved, that's pretty cool. Hell, maybe tonight I will open one, as I need something for dinner this evening anyway.

10/7/2016 12:57:00 PM - Soon, maybe tonight. Last night I opened up a White Burg as I had heard some pox concerns with a wine I owned, but like the crazy ass variability of pox, my bottle drank fine. Go figure.

I will drop a note back on the 07 JB, for sure.
