Saturday, October 11, 2014 - I had high hopes after an oxidized 2000... This bottle not oxidized but also not a great example of this wine. Very restrained, needing lots of breathing but even after several hours it's not opening up. The nose is very faint, a little lemon and some funky honey...unusual for Mount Eden. Color is beautiful medium golden yellow. Flavor profile is not too thin but not the usual richness either. It has some honey, lemon and a bit of grassiness. Not sure what to think of this? No where close to the previous bottle which was glorious.
