Wednesday, February 11, 2015 - Decanted for an hour and drank together with exquisite "French cuisine". The colour is deep purple and promising. The nose too weak, however. Elegant but not long lasting taste with some mushroom and a twist of barnyard, but most of all dominated by floral and sweet notes. In a blind tasting I would have guessed a Margaux rather than a St. Estephe. All in all this was a slight disappointment - not a bad wine, but for the appellation and the chateau it is an underachiever without - in my judgement - sufficient potential to age beautifully. I hope time proves me wrong, though. 86-87 P.
