Tuesday, March 5, 2013 - This showed beautifully tonight, a decent bit better (and quite differently) than my last bottle a month ago. From 750ml, TS fill. Stood bottle for two hours, slow oxed for one hour, poured into decanter and served by itself. Color is browning quite a bit, almost to its core; again this was also quite cloudy. Nose is lovely: of sweet candy and delicate flowers. Fun complexity on the palate in the first 30 minutes, after which complexity faded to something a bit more one-dimensional, but still very fine/silky tannins holding wonderfully sweet fruit. Medium-long finish. Note to self: re-read your notes and just pour from bottle instead of decant next time! Tonight's showing suggests there is little rush to open the next one....
