A big wine, even with 8 years on it, the fruit is nice boysenberry with chocolate, pepper and a nicely acidic, tannic zing on the finish. A slightly acoholic nose of cherry and zinberry. Is it monolithic? A bit. Is it big? Yes. Is it worthwhile and fun to drink? You bet. Get some if you can.
