Wednesday, June 10, 2009 - Dense extracted stuff; initial nose not unlike a big gevrey in its heaviness, but also of amazing buttery cinnamon tire nose, then opens a bit into brussel sprouts and greenness of the 04 vintage perhaps. There's a touch of sweet insecticide and a tannic finish, later on hazelnut coffee, burnt toast, banana liqueur; a bit of a strange, unbalanced wine, but such a dense, gargantuan powerhouse brimming with sweet red fruit and minerally earth tones that it makes me wet my pants for the $29 pittance paid.
