Monday, August 19, 2013 - PnP, served non blind. Medium garnet core, good reflmection and tawny at the rim. Aromas of cherry skin, balsam, black truffle, salvia. An odd cheese and fennel bent pops in and out - not welcome. Slightly reductive, so I'll give it 30 in the decanter and see where it goes before tasting. (update). Better, but only slightly fresher. Full bodied(-), excellent acids, grippy, focused tannins. Seeing as how it is begging for food, I'll oblige. Sadly, my last one. recommended, 14% abv, drink thru 2017

update: outstanding turn around! clean, fresh and pure on day 2, what a joy to drink.
