Thursday, January 10, 2013 - {cork, 12.5%} Waning garnet. Aged nose of polished leather enlivened with a spicy, dusty-attic kind of aroma. It's all tertiary now, really. Remains quite intense, though; it's not a feeble bouquet. Spicy palate, with aging black fruits, a little white pepper maybe, with some earthiness. Tannins have faded to a memory; the wine is about medium-bodied, no more, and still enjoyable enough to drink without being startling. Not worth keeping longer now.
