Thursday, March 24, 2011 - Almost white colour. Next to zero fruit in the nose, if at all there's some banana, lemon and grapefruit. It has a fresh and salty ocean-breezy air and almost reminds me of a good Muscadet from a cool year. There's also some noble elegance. On the palate, the wine is great. Again, there's no fruit, but a lot of stony minerality and slate dust. In the middle, it's a bit flat and watery. The finish is great again in a chalky-dusty and slightly salty note and a mouth-filling, but well integrated acidity. Zero grams of fat on this, very lean. A wine for ascetics.
