Sunday, March 24, 2013 - For a 10 year old Zin (back label says 5-8 optimal) this bad boy has not grown up one lick! Sort of like a 28 year old juvenile delinquent that you hope grows up SOME DAY but its getting a little late...... Very Brambly, juicy, blackberry fruit on the nose and palate with subtle spicey overtones (nice touch that) but over all the impression is disorganized, wild, brambles out of control, juicy juicy, tannins on the end. A touch crazy. All in all interesting.
Tasted again after the bottle had a few days to open up. Much more civilized. Nice smooth tannins on the mid palate, much more elegant. 89+
