Saturday, January 24, 2015 - Birthday Party (River Bend Golf and Country Club): I am not totally sure what the difference is between 100 points and 99. This was clearly my WOTN straight from the bottle even before decanting. Ultimately it was decanted for 6 hours.

Light cassis fruit on the nose and a totally balanced wine on the palate. Smooth yet not a thick velvet. Still powerfully bodied with a number of years to go. I may go for a 12 hour decanting next time. Tannins are still 7/10 without overpowering (after the decanting)
