Saturday, June 22, 2013 - Been awhile since I last tried one. Decanted for 3 hours before taking first sip. The wine was much more approachable after decant. It could have gone 4 hours no problem. Subtle fruit cab. Definitely, has some of the boldness one would expect from Heitz, but it was not too much. This bottle can go another 15 years no problem. Important thing is if you plan to open and start drinking a wine right away this is not a candidate for quick consumption. Decanting is important at this early stage.
