Monday, October 21, 2013 - More red/garnet in color. Really nice nose. Some floral aspects on the nose intermixed with red fruit. More raspberry & bing cherry with just a touch of earth. Very linear lacking complexity & depth. The tannins are manageable and I didn't even decant this. The finish was decent lasting 20seconds at the most. Lots of acidity too just making my mouth water. This is really missing those "extras" that make a wine amazing. There is fruit and then it drops off mid palate. The tannins are there but they are not the massive dense tannins that would allow this to be cellared for a decade. Instead I would drink this now or over the next few years. But I would not go over 5. This is a nice price point for an everyday drinker but vin 29s cru blows this away for the money.
