Saturday, July 2, 2011 - New label, with the babybird/heart logo. 14% alcohol. Maybe the lightest color of all the Petite Eglises I have drunk. Fairly weak bouquet of cherries and herbs. Taste is predominantly black olive, some cherry, and some licorice. Much more elegant and light than any PE I can remember. Lots of lift--can easily imagine doing sporting activities after a few glasses. Tannins are not the typical talcum powder or large tannins, but small, invisible, round, completely integrated. Some heat from the alcohol, but overall a success, and ready for consumption right now.
