Wednesday, May 13, 2015 - Carnitas night (My place): The rule of 15 nails it here. This is showing superbly right now. Incredibly fragrant and perfumed from the moment the cork was popped, with an array of bright floral notes, smoke, meat, red fruited flavours, and more saline/briny notes all coming together into a beautiful, intoxicating scent. The flavours on the palate mirror the aromatics with tremendous complexity and textural finesse, and the tannin mostly integrated. Finishes very long and saline, with olive and briny notes lingering long after each sip.
