Wednesday, May 13, 2015 - (Mostly) reds at Salil's (Vernon, CT): Wine of the night, with the most expressive bouquet on the table. Explosive aromatics of violets, olive tapenade, game, iodine and earth. The palate echoed the aromas, with a plush, velvety texture. The tannins are well resolved, though I suspect this could go for a few more years without any problems. Gorgeous, complex wine that is in a great drinking spot.
