Sunday, March 22, 2015 - So thick, so dense and so , so young. This wine is not ready to drink. I would not attempt to drink this for 7 to 10 years. Lots of earth and flower shop scents make this an alluring wine to sniff to death, but when you drink be sure to take a machete with you to weed through the bales of tannin. Big body, not sweet, big time dry and gritty, and in fact, the tannins are oppressive to the finish. This needs integration via lots and lots of time. Lots of hidden elegance and upside. I am going to seek out an 01 or 04...

I don't think that you will be disappointed and in fact, I think that this is going to uptick by a good 3 points..Its evident in the price of the 01 and 04....over 120 bucks a bottle...I bought a bottle of 2003 and 2005 today...I will try them side by side. Thanks for your comment and I enjoy your other notes too :-)

3/23/2015 1:30:00 PM - Thanks. Love this bottling and have a six-pack of the 07's but havent touched them yet. The 2000 is lovely to drink now with multipble hours of aeration and the 03 is pretty accessible right now, popped and poured, but better with a little air.
