Sunday, December 21, 2014 - Decanted for 3 hours. There was some fine and coarse sediment. Brilliant read-through-it medium color with a clear rim that shows just a hint of autumnal color. Gorgeous aromatics leap from the glass showing exotic spices, dry citrus peel and a warm, woodsy note. Feminine and nuanced, the flavors include tart wild cherries, Asian spices and a gentle sweetness on the palate. The acidity is brilliant but appropriate and the tannins are fine and integrated. This is a lovely example with lots of positive development ahead. Drink now through 2022.
