Friday, August 29, 2014 - Glengarry Grand Tasting - Day 1; 8/29/2014-9/1/2014 (Glengarry Wines and Spirits, Victoria Park, Auckland, New Zealand): Clearly a fresh bottle consisting of mainly the 2006 vintage, this is tight but displays perfect balance. Fresh biscuit, autolysis and oak are discernible. Very structured wine with a citrus and mineral finish, This is (as always) the most vinous of champagnes and is not surprisingly, a great champagne.
