Saturday, August 15, 2009 - Ah the mystery of the 1900 Lanessan. The amount of sediment in the bottle was a key guide to its age. Colour was light brick red a testament to its age. Taste however was a mystery with a more fortified feel to it and very alchoholic with legs on the glass like a mild port! Who knows the story of this wine! This was recorked for sure maybe 30 yrs ago by the chateau and was high sholder.
Drank at the chateau and it is from the private cellar so immaculately kept. A great experience. Thank you Gildine and Guillaume
