Monday, July 22, 2013 - On the nose, I found ripe black cherries, mint, a hint of oak, dark chocolate and earthy dried leaves. On the palate, it was silky with weighty textures balanced by zesty acidity. Ripe black cherry, dark chocolate, bell pepper, and exotic spice filled the sense. The finish was dry but not overwhelmingly so, with a few more years, this wine should really be in it's sweet spot. For now it remains a slightly modern Tuscan wine with impeccable balance.
