Sunday, June 2, 2013 - Another great showing for this wine, and alas, this was my last bottle. Drank over lunch and dinner during the same day, it showed much better at dinner time, after having been aerated for several hours. Med to dark straw color. Initially it revealed oaky aromas that gradually turned to tropical fruits like pinneapple and mango. Honey, beeswax, apple and pronounced herbal scents alongside minerality were also present. On the palate it is medium to full-bodied, powerful, complex but in the same time light on its feet thanks to high acidity. Very long aftertaste. Probably at peak, but could last even further. A top-class Chardonnay from Australia and a perfect example of the country's new school of wine-making.
