Sunday, January 22, 2012 - Dark ruby with a fair amount of thinning at the rim, on the nose, this has medium intensity raspberry, cranberry, vanilla creme, clove, and cinnamon. On the palate, the attack is sweet and delicious, rising to a fairly tannic mid-palate, with good depth and substantial dryness. The palate adds a little bit of an herbal element, with parsley and a trace of mint on the medium-long finish. Overall, this is a nice effort, and very much worth the under-$16 CT average value. At five years of age from harvest, it is quite ready to drink now, but I'm guessing it has another five to go. Nice wine.
