Saturday, August 17, 2013 - Brick-red color identifies the aging on this bottle. Surprisingly very fine sediment as I decanted. Cassis and subdued cranberries on the nose. Initial taste revealed light red berries and a hint of licorice and a sweet honey-like note on the finish.

Definitely started showing more after a couple of hours. Finished the bottle four hours later - now yielding a distinct espresso aroma followed by a hint of brandy. Soft, supple mouthfeel with a silky texture yielding favors of cinnamon, tart cranberries (much more pronounced than earlier) and finishing on a vanilla note.

Great wine, showing really well now, my only complaint is a slightly shallow mid-palate. This wine is drinking very well now, I wouldn't hold on too much longer - plan to drink my last bottle within the next year.
